We had more than one gathering for the Prescott Chapter in September. We hosted a craft night for our Brunchettes early in the month. There we started a book drive for a local group that provides kids books to children in need. Making watercolor bookmarks were 1 of the crafts. We made some to take home and some to include with the books for the book drive. I don’t know about anyone else, but you can never have too many bookmarks!
When Prescott Public Library approached me and asked if we would be interested in having a booth at their first con, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! It was the first time our downtown area hosted a con and it was such an exciting day! Being surrounded by nerdy booths, comic book artists, and cosplayers…we were right at home! We had a blast meeting people who didn’t know about Geek Girl Brunch and having them sign up. At the end of the day, we had all made new friends and are looking forward to another con in the future!
