On a grey overcast morning in March, Geek Girl Brunch San Antonio met to celebrate “Black Girl Magic/Women of Color” right after (and in honor of!) February’s passing Black History Month, and Black Panther’s release on February 16th (to make sure all our girls had the chance to see if before we were talking about it)!
This morning we went to new location: Mimosa Restaurant & Lounge! This was a gorgeous location that was only too happy to host us, with its amazing menu of delightful foods and plentiful mimosas. Like always, we started with our tables set out with coloring sheets and color pencils, crayons, artist chalk, and markers for them matching the theme.
As this month was a little more challenging for our girls to match with wearing the theme, we had two girls who were our amazing representatives:
True to their name, Mimosa highlights in having a great mimosa deal! We had to take them up on this glorious offering, and so each of our tables ordered many of their flavored carafes (Sunrise, Elderflower, Blue Bell, Hurricane, Pink Panther, Walking Dead, Lavender & Blackberry)!
Our Grab Bag was a little light for this one (a purple hair flower & a pendant necklace of Shimmer & Shine, ladies of color, from Sparkle Genies), but we still loved both pieces in it:
We drew a close to our brunch with our raffle table and prizes for our girls.
Our raffle winning girls for Black Girl Magic & their prizes!
At the very end of brunch, we all went outside for our every brunch group shot to commemorate this wonderful time spent together!
