Amora Teal-Astorii

Compendium of obscure facts, shoe fanatic, Whovian, con·nois·seur of the arts, queen of tangents.

A perpetual nomad, Amora blew into NC from the windy city. It was clear from an early age that Amora would be exceedingly geeky. A fan of all things sci-fi Amora enjoys binge-watching geeky shows that fall within that genre. More than anything Amora loves to travel and of course, geek out with friends and family. When not geeking out, Amora runs a small business with her partner. She’s obsessed with attending sci-fi conventions, and her favorite characters to cosplay include, Storm, Auntie Entity (Mad Max), and Kindzi (Defiance). 

Geeky Loves: Doctor Who, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones (Seasons 1-7) Outlander, Defiance, Stargate SG-1, LEXX, Mad Max, British Dramas, 80’s Music, Symphonic Metal, Sword Fighting, Historical Reenactment, Buffy, and Firefly.

Brunch Drink of Choice: Bloody Mary, Mimosas or Lambic.

Tabitha Tomala

Origin Story: Tabitha is a transplant from Connecticut who enjoys fantasy/sci-fi novels, video games, anime, and tabletop gaming. Chances are if you met her at a young age you would find her nose in a Dragonlance book or playing D&D with her family. By day Tabitha works as a QMS Specialist and by night she blogs about the books she reads. And while she doesn’t have a current D&D campaign, you’ll catch her playing Shadowrun on the weekends via Zoom with her Connecticut crew.

Brunch Drink: Hopelessly addicted to coffee, but enjoys mimosas too!

Acadia Rose-Meyer

As a Jill Of All Trades Acadia has a LOT of hobbies and interests. She runs a nerdy parenting Facebook group called Nerds With Nerdlings, owner of a nerdy online shop, is an internationally published fashion model, and has worked on NetFlix and Hulu tv/film sets, but most of all she loves spending time with her also-nerdy husband and their adorable son. Professionally she is a marketing manager and she brings order to most things she does, but she can still be a bit shy at first. When she was about 9 her eyes were opened to nerd culture when she watched Inuyasha at a friend’s house, but she was collecting Pokemon cards and watching Star Wars as early as she can remember.

Geeky Loves: Anime/manga (Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, Kodomo no Omocha, Fushigi Yugi, Attack on Titan), tabletop games (d&d and cyberpunk 2020), videogames (The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Jurassic World Evolution 1 and 2, River City Girls, Spiritfarer, Ratchet and Clank, and Elden Ring to name a few), and watching sci-fi/fantasy shows/movies (The Matrix, Stranger Things, Misfits (UK show), Heroes (went downhill after season 3 or so), Game of Thrones (the last season was rushed though), Preacher, The Boys, The Witcher, Channel 0 (seasons 2 and 4), Euphoria, and many more).
