Board Game Brunch – Redux

Board Game Brunch – Redux

We LOVE Board Games. So much so, that we decided to do another Board Game Brunch this year!

Philadelphia is blessed with multiple board game cafes in the city, so for February we decided to try out Queen & Rook, a vegan/vegetarian place with 1,000+ games. For a $7 library fee, brunchettes spent 3 hours in the game library trying out new games and reminicing about old favorites. We even found a copy of electronic Mall Madness!

SO MANY GAMES!

Queen & Rook absolutely hooked us up with some mimosas to start out our morning. Several brunchettes also enjoyed their version butterbeer (with vegan and alcoholic options).

Mmmm, Butterbeer!

Brunchettes split into 4 different tables for ease of gameplay. Everyone got a raffle ticket for our board game raffle, and went home with their own set of polyhedral dice.

Brunchettes tried Bears Vs Babies, Dinsoaur Tea Party, Wingspan, Sagrada, and many more games. Game masters were on hand to walk us through games we’d never played before, and for any rule clarifications.

After the delicious vegan/vegetarian fare, we raffled off multiple board games to brunchettes. Brunchettes went home with Star Wars monopoly, Superfight, Al Rashid, Bloodsuckers, Hollywood Game Night, and more.

Geek Girl Brunch Philly will definitely be returning to Queen & Rook in the future. One of our brunchettes, Dana, went back that very week for Galentine’s Day Quizzo. She took the grand prize! Go Dana!

Way to go Dana!
