BB-Ate All the Waffles

Who do you think would win in a waffle eating contest? R2-D2, BB-8, or C-3PO? I’m fairly certain that C-3PO would spend the whole time explaining why he doesn’t need delicious, syrupy calories to keep functioning — and walk away. R2-D2 would end up so full he’d be walking (rolling?) around like drunk E.T. BB-8 has the most cheerful original owner, so I have a feeling he may have already joined Poe in a silly contest or two, you know, before their adventures!

Well, the ladies of the DC chapter of Geek Girl Brunch gathered in December, right before the release of the final movie in the Skywalker Saga to discuss this theory, among others!

We met at Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap on a sunny but cool morning. After introductions, we shared about our favorite Star Wars characters, listed off our top three fandoms (just three?!), and sipped on delectable mimosas. The food was great, we highly recommend the house made donuts and the breakfast pizza.

Officer Jill created the swag we distributed to all of the Brunchettes in attendance, etched Star Wars themed pint glasses!

While this brunch was one of our smaller events, we definitely have picked numbers up since our relaunch in November. Sometimes it takes a little bit of time to get the word out to the nerds!
