Jackson, MS Celebrates Their First Brunch!!

The Geek Girl Brunch Jackson chapter debuted in July with our first brunch at the locally owned pie shop Urban Foxes. Our inaugural theme for brunch was “Rep Your Fandom”, and was a way for everyone to introduce themselves, get to know each other, and share our geeky interests! Brunchettes certainly did not disappoint for their first brunch!

Urban Foxes definitely ROLLED OUT THE RED CARPET. Brunchettes were able to have a private room with a delectable personal menu just for us (AWESOME SAUCE!!!). The mimosas flowed as everyone settled in to kick off our new chapter in Jackson, MS!

When I say the ladies came and RE-PRE-SEN-TED, I mean it. Brunchettes did a great job with cosplay and apparel, and one member even showed off their fandom by way of their tattoos. As we continued to geek out over our loves we found that a lot of us shared similar fandom and geek obsessions. It was a great time! Getting to know different personalities from all walks of life made us really excited about the future possibilities for our organization. The connections we made at our very first brunch made everyone so happy! Who knew that Mimosas, brunch and geek life could turn into a beautiful beginning for a bright future? Our Jackson officers are totally GEEKED for our next brunch!!
