GGB Philadelphia members could not have been more excited about the return of Game of Thrones for the final season. In order to make sure we kept brunch spoiler free we scheduled for the weekend before the season 8 premier. Brunchettes celebrated and mourned the ending of a beloved show without spilling any secrets that fans wouldn’t already know.

Brunchettes met at Bainbridge Street Barrel House for good food and lively discussions about Game of Thrones. We conducted a poll of who members think will be sitting on the Iron Throne when the show is over. Sansa Stark and Jon Snow tied the top of our poll with 4 votes each. Daenerys Targaryen had 3 votes, and 2 Brunchettes think no one will be on the Iron Throne at the end. Gendry, The Prince Who Was Promised, and Jon and Daenerys’ baby each have 1 GGBPhilly member rooting for them too.

Brunchettes also participated in GoT bingo, getting to know each other better asking questions about the show and each other. One of our GGB Philly members has even met George R.R. Martin in person!

Office Kristine 3D printed each member their very own ‘hand of the king’ pin. Brunchettes each also took home a GoT notebook and a printed card from one of the houses. During brunch everyone snacked on “dragon egg” and “gold coin” chocolates. Some great raffles included a GoT beer glass and board game that were appreciated by all of our raffle winners!
