GGB DFW Game of Thrones Brunch Part 2

GGB DFW Game of Thrones Brunch Part 2

We met this month for brunch just six days after the season opener of Game of Thrones, to chat about our theories and run through the details of the episode again. Our private room was full, and we even had a few ladies who joined us last minute! Our server happened to be a fan of Game of Thrones and promised to join us at future brunches; it’s always fun to see how excited people get about GGB.

We were also happy to welcome a number of new brunchettes this month and introduce them to the joys of our geeky brunching! Although we didn’t ask ladies to come with their Game of Thrones houses picked out, many sported Targaryen and Stark gear. Outfits ranged from a hilarious doge meme meets Stark dire wolf tshirt to a full on Daenarys Targaryen outfit complete with tiny dragon.

The buffet at Via Real was, as always delicious, as was the dessert bar with chocolate fountain. They had a delightful mix of breakfast and lunch options, and delicious salsa and guacamole. We drank plentiful mimosas and poinsettas, as well as coffee, of course.

There were some incredible raffle items yet again this brunch! We had some Game of Thrones bandanas in various colors, as well as some Targaryen jewelry. One of our brunchettes, Jaimee,  also donated some awesome items she had crocheted, including a pokeball! There were two lovely prints by Michael Champion depicting some sexy Dothraki, as well as some Game of Thrones figurines. Finally, there was an adorable Game of Thrones skater dress.

Our next brunch will be a Back to School Harry Potter Year 2 brunch! Make sure you identify your house when you buy your ticket, and also let us know if you’re a first or second year attendee. We need to make sure you get the right welcome letter! We can’t have you buying first year books when you’re starting year two. Our brunch will be at Urban Crust in Plano on September 12, 2017, at noon. Please feel free to dress up or come just as you are!
