GGB Austin – Galentine’s Brunch

GGB Austin – Galentine’s Brunch

The Austin chapter celebrated our annual Galentine’s Day Brunch!  For those who are unaware, Galentine’s Day, a nonofficial holiday, is celebrated as a day for “ladies celebrating ladies.” This lady-centric holiday was created by Parks and Rec’s Leslie Knope.

This year we hosted our brunch at the famous Elizabeth Street Cafe. This neighborhood Vietnamese cafe and French bakery in South Austin was a perfect location for our brunch. The food was delicious and the service was top notch!

They are most famous for their yummy macarons. Which we of course ordered and loved! Galentine’s Day is all about treating yourself.

We sat on the patio and enjoyed the nice spring weather. It was nice to catch up and meet a few new memebrs to our group! Mimosas were had and per tradition, valentines were exchanged.

It wouldn’t be Galentine’s Day without chocolate and waffles necklaces! Star Wars, the Walking Dead and Fun Dip valentines were passed around. One of our members even made homemade cookies! How sweet is that? Big thanks to the lovely ladies for bringing goodies to share.

GGB San Antonio officer Holli made this hilarious perler bead artwork as a raffle prize. Hoes Before Bros ladies! You can find more of Holli’s work at her store, Splattycake Crafts.

And the lucky winner with her prize.
