Galentine’s Day- GGB Baltimore Celebrates the Unofficial National Holiday
It was an absolutely beautiful day when the brunchettes made their way downtown for our second annual Galentine’s Day brunch. Even though it wasn’t the official day for Galentine’s Day (the unofficial holiday to celebrate your gal-pals), in the words of Leslie Knope, ‘anytime a group of ladies get together for brunch they embrace the holiday’ and it was in that very spirit we had a lovely meet up.

The brunchettes made their way down to Of Love and Regret in Canton, a lovely little hole in the wall that if you weren’t looking for it you might have missed it. It was an amazingly rustic yet modern restaurant. When the ladies came into the restaurant they were all greeted with a candle, flower and a small Valentine to really keep going with our theme.
The menu was small, but with a bunch of flavor and a wide variety of locally themed alcohol. They offered a delicious breakfast of cornmeal pancakes, blackberry and chili syrup and pig belly. Much different from bacon but amazing none the less. They also had daily themed burgers, that day’s themed happened to be a southwest burger that one of our fellow brunchettes got and looked just as good as the breakfast food. The food and alcohol gave a big bang for the buck, including freshly made pastries that included banana nut muffins that day that were gigantic. Not only was the alcohol delicious, the coffee, which came in a french press that you could order solely for yourself, was out of this world.

As our brunch slowly wined down, to the point where we all had to be rolled out of Of Love and Regret, the brunchettes bid adieu on that gorgeous Sunday. We invite you all to March’s brunch of Brunch and a Movie….Princess Style! We will be meeting up in Towson for a showing Beauty and the Beast followed by brunch at World of Beer. It is a tale as old of time and we cant wait to see you all next month!!
