February: Come As You Geek
Our very geeky ladies were ready to come as they are, and so we planned a Galentine’s theme to let them showcase their most favorite geeky selves. We had our February brunch at a new location, Sapphire’s Cafe in Lewisville. Our ladies enjoyed sharing their favorite things while eating delicious sandwiches and salads, drinking mimosas, and comparing outfits. In every goody bag was a conversation heart cookie, homemade bath salts, lip balm, and candy to treat the inner and outer geek. Instead of exchanging valentine’s cards, we made it a white elephant gift exchange, bringing reasonably priced and wrapped items. The girls unwrapped, oohed, aahed, and stole without mercy to get that prime geeky treasure! Everyone left happy with a new galentine present to display. Â At the bottom, you’ll find our newest Brunchette of the Month, Kat!Â
Our girls also got excited about winning raffle prizes, were able to pick their winning to their nerdy hearts content.
One of our prizes was Batman Love Letters
We had some great scrapbooking gear raffle, to help our nerd ladies get craftyWe also had some awesome Spock socks, with ears to flap in the breeze as she sprints down the corridor after Captain Jim!
One Whovian chose our Star Wars game in a box. Lots of future Jedi magic to come.Â
We had a snuggly pocket sized Black Widow to win, and she’s now got an assassin to go. Our last winner may not have shot first, but she didn’t lose, she got a not yet dead Greebo Funko pop.
Our group of Happy, nerdy Galentines! We can’t wait to see everyone at our next event you can still buy tickets for, our 1 Year Anniversary Book Brunch! Our winner and her new lanyard, sweet as candy and leading a Denton Cleanup team teeming with Geek Girls!
Below you’ll see more from our Brunchette Kat about what makes her so uniquely geeky.

How did you hear about Geek Girl Brunch Denton? Through Taylor, one of the officers.
If you could plan 1 brunch, what would the theme, location, and activities be? A shire-style Lord of The Rings party! Probably during Tolkien Week/on Hobbit Day. It’d be a great party with LOTS of food, dancing, and all around barefoot fun: D Probably somewhere on the [Denton Main Street] Square would be awesome!
