GGB Fairfield Presents: The Red Lipped Apple Pick!
Ladies, pumpkins are the new apples.
When unforeseen events threw a wrench in our plans, the GGB Fairfield group improvised… and ended up with a traditional New England adventure!
Members met up in October for a fall-centric outing at the local Jones Family Farms and Winery. The local farm offers pumpkin, apple, strawberry picking, and other delightful activities throughout the year. In addition, they have a winery onsite that has seasonal farmer’s markets, tastings, and an outdoor brick pizza oven. A perfect spot for out brunchettes to adventure! Festivities started with a tasty brunch tailgate. Snacks were provided by officers Katie and Rhi-  fresh coffee, homemade mini quiche, hot apple pie pop tarts and pecan bars.
The adventure continued with photo ops, a hay ride, and a trek through the corn maze. Full disclosure-we got a little lost. Very lost. The ladies worked together as a group to work their way through the maze, and emerged victorious!
After picking out their pumpkins and strange-shaped gourds, members headed over to the Jones Family Winery for a wine tasting. The ladies picked between a selection of dry and off-dry wines grown from Connecticut vineyards.
Brunchettes ended the day with a glass of wine and a cheese platter out on the patio. The view was beautiful – the wine probably helped.
Look out for more GGB Fairfield Events comings soon! We hold monthly Trivia nights, and will be organizing another traditional brunch meet-up soon. Check us out on the social medias. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
