Ghostbusters Brunch – GGB Indianapolis
Ghostbusters Brunch: Ghost-bustin’ GGB Indianapolis Style
There’s something tasty in the neighborhood.
Who did we call?
GGB Indy!
A thematically spectral brunch session blasted into Paragon Restaurant on July 23rd on Indianapolis’s west side. While Slimer and his hot dogs did not make an appearance, every other food imaginable appeared on Paragon’s impressive – and let’s face it, unwieldy – menu. The owner’s hospitality to call all entrants “my friend” extended to his offer to make anything we might want.
…Including silver dollar pancakes, which we determined were “Snackable content”. #OverheardatGGB
We welcomed two new members, Kirsten and Allyson, whose lists of common interests included human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together and mass hysteria – or more accurately, a wide array of tabletop games, the Stars (Wars and Trek), Jessica Jones and Renaissance fairs.
(We’d also like to take this opportunity to welcome Allyson to our Legion of Super Officers!)
And of course, Ghostbusters, where the new installment has so many gals feeling supernatural solidarity. Nobody catfought over who would be our Holtzmann – that’s not in keeping with her vibe – but rest assured we all assumed it would be each and every one of us.
A pull list of Squirrel Girl, Hawkeye, Y: The Last Man, Saga and Rat Queens got us all excited about what we love to read. The ladies of Geek Girl Pen Pals and OTSP Secret Sister found some natural affection, when we realized everyone at the table loved reading and letter writing. Definitely OK to cross those particular streams.
Following the meal, Ecto Cooler mimosas and marshmallows were served at Officer Sarah’s house during an original movie watch-along. Our chitty-chattiest, movie-quotiest and introvertiest tendencies were all treated with care and attention, as we’re happy to do for all of our new friends! Camaraderie is always fantastic, and bustin’ made us feel good!
We’d be breathlessly honored if you’ll join us for our next adventure!
