GGB Tyler Launch into Space
What better way to celebrate the GGB Tyler launch, then lunching into space. We chose space because it’s a simple theme with a variety of different ways to celebrate it. We gathered at Roast Social Kitchen for some unique and delicious pizzas in addition to a fun and refreshing drink menu. Pineapple beer anyone? I know I couldn’t say no. We gorged ourselves on pizza and we even shared a delicious lavender cheesecake. The service and food were excellent and the place was perfect for our casual social gathering.
After the brunchettes were good and full we decided to break out the crayons and started coloring various space themed pictures. In addition to the coloring, we discussed our favorite shows, books, and scientific facts based on space. We were delighted to find there was a lot of overlap in our space related interests, and even more excited to talk up our interests a few of the brunchettes were unfamiliar with.
Thanks goes out to Craig Michael Scott for his adorablized Star Wars themed art cards. All the art cards were different, so the brunchettes had fun seeing which character everyone got. Check him out at www.craigmichaelscott.com. And a big thanks to Officer Crystal for the charm bracelets with themed charm. We wanted to do something unique, so in addition to the charms featuring our chapter logo, brunchettes will receive a charm pertaining to each brunch they attend as well as the bracelet to put them on at their first brunch with us.
After the brunch we filled our caffeine tanks with coffee at Doc’s, a cute local medical themed coffee shop. Soon after we were on our way to the Center for Earth and Space Science Education. There we saw two dome shows. One based on our future travel to Mars, and the other about dark matter! The perfect outing to end the GGB Tyler Launch.
