GGB NOLA — Bounce Night/Cowa-brunch-a!

We decided to have a geeky June weekend here in NOLA!  On Friday night we visited Sector 6, our local indoor trampoline venue.  It’s a great deal for only $13.  The warehouse is huge and organized into different bouncing areas so the allotted hour goes by really quickly. On Fridays after 9pm Sector 6 turns out the lights for a black light “Club 6” session…of course we broke out the face paint!  The Sector 6 employees loved it so much that one of our members earned a VIP pass. 🙂

The blue glow-in-the-dark wristbands gave us an allotted hour to roam around the venue.  We played around in the deceptively difficult foam pit, practiced our aerial flips and balancing acts, and played a couple rounds of bouncy dodgeball.  GGB NOLA Brunchettes can definitely confirm that trampolines are just as fun as you remember!

Of course, bouncing around for an hour builds up appetites, so once our time was up we headed to the Fox & Hound Sports Tavern.  It’s pretty awesome that this restaurant boasts a late-night happy hour on Fridays, and we definitely indulged.  The Kryptonite Margaritas were fantastically enormous, and their sampler platter of appetizers fed half the table!  Our server was super-patient with our group, which is always greatly appreciated.

The fun rolled over into a rainy Saturday for Cowa-brunch-a!  5 very brave Brunchettes travelled through torrential downpours to hang out at NY Pizza on Magazine Street.  If you’ve never been, this place has delicious pizzas to be bought by the slice or by the pie, and there’s weekend deals on beer pitchers!  Our lunchtime topics ranged from Game of Thrones (this was right before Battle of the Bastards) to flying cockroaches. As always, there were gifts for our members. This time, Robyn handed out punny gifts related to the varying personalities of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Can you guess some of the clues based on the pictures?
