GGB NOLA — Generation You!
We held our 4th brunch, Generation You!, on March 23rd at Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar. We were seated in a private room they donated to our group (thank you Aimee!), and we had a fantastic time!
This brunch’s theme was all about taking it back to the carefree days of our youth. There were butterfly clips and Animorphs t-shirts, neon colors, feathers,TMNT gear, and of course some N’Sync concert swag. It’s always great to reminisce about what all started our lifelong passions and interests, and it’s so cool when you find common threads with new friends.
Our server Jared didn’t waste any time letting us know about the “‘Atta Girl”-sized frozen mimosas…how could we say no? They were served in souvenir cups, so of course that makes them that much more amazing. The food was so good we might’ve forgotten to take any pictures! Everything on the menu was mouth-watering…more than a couple of members ordered the Cochon de Lait Benedict, but we also ordered Tomato Avocado Omelettes and Crawfish Cornbread. Superior Seafood is definitely high on our list of places to re-visit!
Our officer Jessica reprised her role as Brunch Fairy and passed out the most fabulous bags to date. We received neon shutter shades, disco ball necklaces, candy, and cute toys! Every Brunchette also received hand-sewn eye masks from the crafty duo of Melissa and Christine…these amazing members even scented them with lavender!
Our raffle prizes were highly coveted — members received CDs (N’Sync, Ace of Base, Rick Astley), “Toy Story” toys, and super-cute shirts!
Generation You! was a great way to kick off a beautiful NOLA Super Sunday…thanks for coming out Brunchettes!
**March/beginning of April was really busy for the GGB NOLA chapter…we also held our first-ever Craft Nite for Brunch Fest and we did a Batman v. Superman movie meet-up. Check out some pics!**
