GGB Kansas City Sees Deadpool!

On February 27th, 2016, GGB Kansas City went to the Alamo Drafthouse and Theater in Kansas City to see the newly released Deadpool movie.

The Alamo is a great venue in the Power & Light District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The Power & Light District is crazy-busy during the weekends, and the night of our get-together was no exception. However, we made it in time for the movie, and enjoyed a few drinks and laughs in the on-site bar beforehand.

The movie was a hit with all of our brunchettes, and the food at the Alamo was fantastic. There were lots of laughs during the movie, though we won’t throw out any spoilers just in case you haven’t had a chance to see it yet (but you should!), and afterward we attempted to find some Deadpool signage to take a picture by, but since it was no longer opening weekend, we didn’t have success. We did, however, get a nice gentleman to snap a photo of us to commemorate our brunch. (We lost one brunchette along the way to finding a photo op spot, as she split off after the movie, but we know she was with us in spirit!)

We had a total of seven brunchettes join in the Deadpool brunch, including a new brunchette who just relocated to Kansas City and is looking to meet some new geeky friends. We are excited to have her, and looking forward to having her join us at future brunches.
