GGB Baltimore March Madness Potluck

This month we decided to team up with our local comic shop Collectors Corner, who hosts a Girls Only Comics Club once a month at either their Harford Rd location (HQ) or their Belair Rd location! Working with their officers, we merged our two groups into a pretty awesome event full of good food and music. Basically it was like the Wonder Twins, but much cooler and no one turned into a bucket of water at the end of the day, despite the rain.

After everyone ate their fill, we all sat around and chatted about anything and everything, from up coming movies, the hot topics being Batman vs Superman and Captain America: Civil War respectfully, to what is happening in comics and upcoming Comic Con adventures at C2E2. Chatting wasn’t the only thing that happened, one of the officers from GOCC; Allison brought along supplies to make the old school, yet amazing, friendship bracelets. A few of the brunchettes also brought a few card games along to play.

By the time the event wound down, the girls were ready to be rolled out the door from the food comas they were in from the delicious food. But they were still able to leave with a few purchases from the comic shop proper upstairs.

We would like to pass along our thanks again to Collectors Corner for allowing us to use the basement of their shop and thanks to the Girls Only Comics Club for working with us and making this an as successful event as it was. We are looking forward to working with them both in the future!

We are taking the month of April off so the officers can regroup and plan to start our monthly meet ups again in May, so keep an eye out for the next invite towards the end of April!
