GGB Montreal – Nerdy New Year’s Brunch

Since attendance had taken a dip over the last few brunches for GGB Montreal, we decided to try something new for our first brunch of 2016. We opted not to choose a specific theme for the brunch, but instead used the opportunity to discuss with the brunchettes what themes they’d like to see in the coming year. We also made a point of holding the brunch on a Sunday since several members had mentioned in passing that they would be better able to attend brunches on that day.

We got an incredible number of ideas for future brunches, including the X-Files, French anime, and every excuse we could think of to go back to Cardinal tea room for fresh scones and endless tea.

Officer Gina had been in the midst of decluttering her place and generously donated a giant stash of sheet masks and cellphone charms to the brunch attendees. There were a number of fist time brunchettes in attendance, which was amazing, and a very exciting way to kick off 2016!
