GGBNOLA – Comic Con Redux
GGB NOLA was lucky enough to have a booth for Comic Con (go Jessica for organizing!), so we figured having a Comic Con-themed brunch would be a great way to get some new members out!
Our second brunch was held at Warehouse Grille in downtown New Orleans, and it was great seeing new members! Â Many of our attendees hung out at our Comic Con booth and signed up on the spot, and of course we had our dedicated Brunchettes! Â Our table of about 16 ladies definitely brightened the Warehouse Grille atmosphere… after all, we were in full geek attire!
The restaurant has a fantastic $10 deal for bottomless mimosas (finding these around the city is an ongoing mission), and just about every Brunchette took advantage! Â We sipped on awesome champagne-orange juice ratios while chatting about our Comic Con experiences, upcoming geeky events (Deadpool, anyone?), and that warm fuzzy feeling we all get when finally connecting with women who understand us. Â We also learned cool facts about some of our newest Brunchettes — Jess plays the ukulele, AJ is a bad-ass geologist, and Kuniqua and Melissa are crafty fashionistas!
Warehouse Grille must have hooked us up with the nicest server… she made sure we weren’t lacking for drinks, and our orders came up pretty quickly. Â A HUGE thank you to the entire staff of the restaurant for accommodating us — it’s such a good venue for large groups!
It’s becoming tradition to hold a raffle toward the end of our meal, and the prizes this time did not disappoint.  Goofy Froots graciously donated some amazing prints (thanks Mike!), and we also raffled off a Kylo Ren lightsaber.  Kuniqua showed off her handmade cross-shoulder bag, and we displayed one of Taylor’s custom Steven Universe stickers.
Comic Con Redux was definitely the part 2 we were hoping to experience — thanks to all the Brunchettes that attended!  We’ll see you in February for the next event!
