GGB Baltimore — May The Brunch Be With You
The Brunchettes of the Baltimore chapter of Geek Girl Brunch convenedĀ on Saturday, December 12 at the Double T Diner in Catonsville, MD to celebrate the impending release of “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens”. We also used this brunch to help support #GGBDoBetter and collected canned and non-perishable food items for the local food bank.
Double T Diner has an extensive menu and every one found something delicious to nom on. Coffee refills were fast as lightning and helped keep everyone caffeinated and awake.
Deidre made goody bags for attendees that included Star Wars stickers, temporary tattoos and a fun DIY mini-lightsaber craft. Conquest Journals also extended a 20% off coupon code to the Baltimore Brunchettes!
They alsoĀ donated a handy Con*Panion Mini Journal for Super-Mega-Awesome Swag Bag that was raffled off during the brunch. Brunchettes were entered into the raffle if they brought a non-perishable food item for the food bank. Also included in The Super-Mega-Awesome Swag Bag was a Star Wars Play Pack, more temporary tattoos and stickers, car decals and a certificate for a Star Wars infinity scarf. The swag itself was housed in a fantastic tote bag donated by JordandenĆ©, bearing the classic Han SoloĀ quote “Never Tell Me The Odds”. Brunchette Desiree was our lucky winner and LOVED it!
We ate and drank our fill while talking about Star Wars, Jessica Jones and Doctor Who. Once everyone got their check and paid, we lugged the canned goods and non-perishable food items out to the trunk of Deidre’s car. We collected 3 grocery bags full for the Maryland Food Bank! Just a little bit of what #GGBDoBetter can do!
All in all, another great gathering for Geek Girl Brunch – Baltimore. We’re hard at work planning January’s brunch, which will have an Edgar Allen Poe theme, so be on the lookout for that evite! Happy Brunching!
