GGB Philly’s July Captain America Brunch/We Aren’t at SDCC Pity Party!
On July 11th, GGB Philly had its sophomore brunch at Jerry’s Bar: with about twice the number of brunchettes from our first brunch! The staff at Jerry’s was absolutely fantastic to us: the restaurant is a relatively small space, and they let us have the entire upstairs area for our brunch. They also made us a special menu that included a custom “Geek Girl Cocktail” (HOW CUTE IS THAT?!).

Since July 11th was over San Diego Comic Con weekend, we decided that our Captain America brunch would also serve as a pity party for those of us who were not able to attend SDCC…we think our brunch was way better ;).
We decorated with adorable Avengers cups filled with candy & stickers. For our swag this month, got the most adorable Captain America bows from Boyd’s Bow Creations. Boyd’s was also kind enough to send along a six-pack of adorable Avengers bows, which we used as a prize for our Instagram contest.

In addition to all of the lovely local brunchettes who came out, a GGB officer from Albuquerque who was in town also joined us–it was AWESOME. We’ll have to take a GGB family trip out to ABQ for one of their brunches! 🙂
We had 3 hashtags for our brunch : #CaptainAmericaBrunch #GGBPhilly & #GGBPhillyCaptainAmerica, which brunchettes used on Twitter and also on Instagram to participate in our brunch pic contest.
All in all, we brunched for about two hours & everyone left jazzed for future brunches: particularly our upcoming Nintendo-themed August brunch and our September Hogwarts brunch (*excited squeeing!!*).
