Origin Story: Alana is a nurse who loves all things Harry Potter. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and binge watching Netflix. She joined Geek Girl Brunch back in 2016 and loves meeting new friends! She tries to read as many books as possible, especially fantasy and horror! Hedgehogs and Dogs are top on her animal list, but Porgs are quickly climbing to the top!

Geeky Loves: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Nintendo, Disney, all horror movies (especially James Wan), horror books, Lord of the Rings, Lore podcast, and basically any and all sci fi TV show

Brunch Drink: Moscow Mule

Origin Story: Amanda is an uber geek with a dangerous amount of free time. She’s a disabled stay at home mom who also loves to craft, learn and consume an unnatural amount of fandom related materials. Some of her copious amounts of spare time is spent with her husband Greg, daughter Prudence, and two cats Charlotte, and Victoria. Amanda is most certainly a crazy cat lady. Each August she participates in the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen (GISHWHES). And each November she embarks on the nearly impossible task of writing a 50,000 word novel in just 31 days!

Amanda hopes to spread her joy in Geeky pursuits with as many people as she can!

Geeky Loves: Doctor Who (especially the 8th Doctor in his Big Finish audio dramas), Minecraft, Supernatural, Welcome to Night Vale, The Walking Dead, and in general anything Sci Fi especially audiobooks.

Brunch Drink: Whatever unique non Alcoholic drink is on the menu!

Geeky Boyfriend: Josh Groban, John Barrowman, David Tennant, Weird Al.



Origin Story: Britt has been a part of Geek Girl Cleveland since 2015, but has been a geek girl since birth. Her main fandoms are Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, and Harry Potter, and she leads Geek Girl Cleveland book club. Aside from pop culture, she’s an avid comic book collector, connoisseur of the spooky and weird, and a huge book nerd. Britt is very active in Cleveland’s queer community, and is in a burlesque/drag troupe, and is organizing an all LGBTQIA+ geek convention for 2018. In the little bit of free time she has, she enjoys making bath bombs and beauty products, attending Burning Man, and smashing the patriarchy.

Drink of choice: Iced Tea

Geeky girlfriends: Starbuck, Lt. Uhura, Lisbeth Salander, Hermione, and Zoe Washburne.




Origin Story:  By day, Darlene works for a local health insurance company. But, on some nights and weekends, you can find her getting her geek on at conventions – sometimes on both sides of the table! She’s been attending conventions for over 20 years, and the last 5+ as a vendor with Miniworld Entertainment. Sci Fi and Horror are her favorites, and even though she likes anime, it’s her kryponite. But, is learning to overcome it.She is also a part-time fur Mom to her boyfriend’s 2 cats, and loves meeting and making new friends when she’s on the road. She also loves traveling and trying new foods, so life on the road is perfect for her. Darlene also runs the Unofficial Movie Outings for Geek Girl Brunch Cleveland.

Geeky Loves: Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica (original and new), Star Trek, Star Wars, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Lucifer, Timeless, movies (anything horror, sci fi, action, and drama), Batman, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen, Simon’s Cat, Cards Against Humanity, True Blood, Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain.

Brunch Drink: Mimosas

Geeky Boyfriend: Jason Isaacs, Ryan Reynolds, George Clooney, Karl Urban, Jason Momoa, Chris Evans, and Robert Downey Jr.



Origin Story: Katrina is a jack of all trades & master of all! She is very crafty. She can do needle arts, sewing, jewelry, & so much more! She goes to knit camp twice a year. She is also a paranormal junkie. In 2017, she went to, & survived a trip to the Bermuda Triangle. She also went to Ireland & Scotland in 2016 for a paranormal tour – haunted castles. And, she has also stayed on the Queen Mary. When she is not traveling & brunching, she busy taking care of her dogs, Stitch & Button.

Geeky Loves: Harry Potter, Dr. Who, Percy Jackson, Ray Harryhausen, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Poe, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, Reading, Mythology, & Cryptozoology.
