GGB Fairfield’s Traditional January Brunch

GGB Fairfield’s Traditional January Brunch

A typical January for GGB Fairfield means holding a traditional brunch with our members to sit back, relax, and catch up after the holidays. This year we went to a new location, Little Pub, in Stratford. We were greeted by a cute restaurant with an industrial feel; right on the beach of the Long Island Shore. We were so excited to meet up and welcome some new folks to our group!

As we indulged in mimosas, whipped cream covered french toast, and eggs benny of multiple varieties, our brunchettes caught up on geeky things we enjoyed at the end of the year and what we are looking forward to in the coming year. Many of us gushed over how great The Witcher was, especially since officer Rhiannon wore her “Toss a coin to your witcher” shirt. We also discussed our excitement for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and how BEAUTIFUL it is looking so far. We shared book recommendations and quoted more Vine videos than a typical geek would.

As the brunch came to a close, we all paid our tabs and went outside for a group picture. As Rhiannon snapped the photo, she called out “Say eggs!” which resulted in us all laughing uncontrollably while yelling at those passing by. Two of our girls even did the can-can while singing “Jellicle Cats” for entertainment purposes.

Our traditional brunches may not have a specific theme, but it provides a great opportunity for our members to talk about all things they like and help us all get to know one another better, while still maintaining our silliness and embracing our weird.
