GGB Pittsburgh Tea Rex Brunch!

GGB Pittsburgh Tea Rex Brunch!

In February we decided to warm things up with a special dinosaur themed tea at the Johnston House in Mars, PA, which is right outside of our great city. We were given our own private room for our Cretaceous adventure, and many Brunchettes dressed up and put on their best Downton Abbey faces for this unique and delightful experiences.

Tea was served hot or cold (or in coffee form, if that was preferred), along with delicious finger foods that included sweet scones with creme freshe and homemade raspberry jam; spinach and cheese quiche with handmade filo dough; a cucumber and cheese sandwich; a chicken salad sandwich with slivered almonds; an almond and raspberry torte with fresh creme freshe; chocolate truffles; and a lemon and berry pound cake.

Officers had plenty of adorable dino swag for Brunchettes, like amazing dino mugs, plastic dinosaurs, dino crayons (adult coloring, anyone??), and some fun crocheted aliens from good friend and GGB fan, Connor. We also were able to have a raffle with beautiful handmade dino themed jewelry designed and made by local custom jeweler Leena Lolli. Our Brunchettes were so excited to get these incredibly unique pieces!

Officer Lis made sure she got a customized onesie so she could fit right in on future brunches.

February brought so much more than just a brunch for GGB PGH. We had two extra outings that included seeing Deadpool together for some Galentine’s Day fun and then heading over to the world renowned Carnegie Museum of Natural History to see some incredible fossils and dinosaur bones. This was truly an amazing month for GGB PGH, and we are so excited to see our numbers grow and our city embrace us more and more. Thank you to the Johnston House for hosting us, to our Brunchettes for participating, to GGB HQ for offering so much support, and to the Burgh for all the love!
